In 2018 Al Mawarid for Concrete established the first plant in Palestine that manufactures sand from quarry waste as an alternative to imported and natural sand. Today, this plant is the only Palestinian provider of washing sand with high quality product.The idea of establishing this pioneer plant arose when the company realized that the final product of the quarry crushing process is unsatisfactory because it contains a high percentage of dust and mud mixed with the sand and gravel. Determined to produce better quality product, the company employed technical solutions: optimizing all the products of the quarry crushing process and separating the dust and mud to obtain a final product that is equivalent to natural sand.
The final extracted products from the plant can use in many construction industries such as concrete mixing plant.
